INTRODUCTION
Hello, thank you for visiting my site. I’ll tell you a little about myself.
My name is Felipe and I am 24 years old. I live in the beautiful City of Palms: Tarapoto.
This warm city is located in the San Martin region, in the beautiful South American country of Peru.
I am a very curious person. Wanna see how curious I can be?, I invite you to read an overview of things that have marked my life.
FIRST AND GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH A PC
My first experience with a computer was around 1990 when my dad bought a 386, which has MS-DOS as Operating System. Back then, when I was an 8 year-old-disarming-nut little boy, I wanted to learn how the things that impressed me work. What Do you think I did? Disarmed a $10000 computer? Hahaha, not really.
I liked the idea , but I decided not to do it because my dad had strictly forbidden me. Could I only use it to play?. Well, what my father meant by playing was that I run Space and start to kill my enemies? The mere fact of having the black screen in front of me and having to write:
b:
space.exe
and voilá! I was ready to play and do what my father thought I should devote?
One day, while I was playing, I saw a book on my side. The book title was: MS-DOS User’s Manual. Wait, what language is that?… Forget it! don’t start to think about how many languages there are on the planet, open the book! At least it is titled MS-DOS, which I knew was the black thing in which I had to write something that the computer should “obey” (a current term known as running command). I read or at least attempt to read what it was written. Devils! Wait! the bold letters that I see in the book are similar to the things I write in the black window:
A: Enter
B: Enter
Dir
Yesss. So everything that is typed in bold in the book, I also can write on the black window. Buajaja. The naughty child out of the game and start to try command by command: dir, see, command, key, attrib,? format? Uh? Devils! Cursed command? Ouch,? restart. “There is no command Interpreter or command.com?”
Emmm, I think it is time to do something else. Rachel, do you want to play the hidden?
I remember that the technician went to my house the next day, insert his diskettes of 5 ¼ and in a couple of hours or minutes, the computer was ready again.
I don’t remember if my father gave me a reprimand. But that good only time I spent playing Space and nothing else?
A few years later, the college implemented a few computers, heheh that nice, I could go back to experience, I remembered clearly that the last command had written was “format c:” on my 386 and should not write that in any black window. By then, I went to my school with 5 ¼ floppy disks and the following year, dual and high-density 3 ½ diskettes.
Technology advanced, and some predicted that computers would do wonders… What could not be done with a computer?
It was going by the year 1993, and at least I knew how to use WordPerfect and QPro.
Once, I started to pay attention to the frequent visits of the technician to my house to disinfect the virus from father?s computer.
He ran the antivirus, formatted the system, re-install and go left? That’s strange, a virus? In a computer? Maybe It’s my fault for having a flu a few weeks ago? But even if I was in front of the PC? well, I tried not to touch the computer in my house and the school while I was sick?
Well, one day, and remain healthy, I remembered that the technician wrote in the black window:
scanvirus
So I decided to write the same thing - a need to clarify that the day before we had received his visit for the same situation before commented-. Great was my surprise and terror:
The Hacker Antivirus XXX Edition
Day 24/03/1993
Beginning virus search in drive C:
…
…
…
Three virus was were found on the system, antivirus could not clean or disinfect them. Contact technical support specialist.
Emmm, Dad! The computer has viruses! We swear that I am not sick of anything!
Dad called the technician, he came, did his job and left?
Two days later, being on the PC, I wrote DIR and I saw the dreaded scanvirus.bat in the listing. By then I already knew that the TYPE command allowed view the contents of text files. Of course I had already tried to view the contents of these files, finishing with .exe, .com (now known as extensions), performing visibly overwhelming and strange beeps. So why not find out what is inside of so well known scanvirus.bat.
type scanvirus.bat
@echo off
echo The Hacker Antivirus XXX Edition
echo
echo Day 24/03/1993
echo Beginning virus search in drive C:
pause

cls
echo Three virus were found on the system, antivirus could not clean them or disinfect them,
echo contact technical support specialist.
What! Wait, do not call Dad, two days ago also said 24/03/1993 ? Let’s see, also 3 viruses again? Something smells bad here, oh Fido is here: “go out Fido”; bad smell goes with Fido, but I still have doubts.
Every time I wrote EDIT and pressed Enter, a program appeared in a blue window, hence I could write things and record them with names. I felt as a child WordPerfect, so limited and “primitive”, but certainly not least interesting.
So get to work? you guess? ? Yesss:
edit scanvirus.bat
Emm, echo? Wtf! Echo, echo, echo? was not echo with “h”?. Well, surely was one who wanted to learn Spanish?
The logic of a naughty 11 year-old child said: “echo is located before each phrase appears on the screen, so that must be a way of saying print on the screen everything that is after echo”
NB: It is worth clarifying that the word “echo” is an order which is used in batch scripting, very common in the shell of Microsoft. With it, you can automate a lot of things. ?Echo will display on the screen of what is put in front of this magic word. For example:
Echo “Hello” Hello printed on the screen
Going back to what I was saying, what if edit:
@echo off
echo The Hacker Antivirus XXX Edition
echo Day 24/03/1993
…
echo Three virus were found on the system, antivirus could not clean them or disinfect them,
and I wrote something like this:
echo Felipe Antivirus 1.2
echo Day 24/03/2005…
echo Zero viruses were found on the system. You are free!!
Commit, go out and run again:
Scanvirus.bat
Felipe Antivirus 1.2
Day 24/03/2005
Beginning virus search on the drive c:
…
…
…
Zero viruses were found on the system. You are free!!
WTF!, Perhaps the technician was taking advantage of our ignorance? I regret to say that yes, he did. There was a guy who had learned a little programming in batch ? I guess that the basics - because at least he would have given orders made better so that at least the scan shows today’s date, that would have prevented what I discovered him. And he knew how to scare us from time in time and require their services. Besides allowing ourselves at the mercy of the real viruses, and that in fact neither we had installed an antivirus, only his fearsome script?
I told my father what happened, I do not know if he understood what I told him, but never again I saw the cheater technician in my house. Another was our new technician and what my father told him that I had discovered the tramp of the first guy, he looked at me as a rare and well-odd critter.
This new technical installed a true antivirus in our computer, and rarely from that moment we had so many problems with viruses, as we had in the first stage?. : @.
Thanks to the first technician I learned that in the .bat archives I could make interesting things, I continue editing the file and until I got to make little programs which allowed choosing actions or programs to be executed.
As you will see, this was my first experience with programming-at least in batch-, viruses, and the powerful shell?
LIFE IN THE MATRIX
This would mark my life much in the future, because now I am a computer programmer, I have programmed in Assembler for windows and Linux, C + +, Perl, Ruby, Bash Scripting, Batch Scripting, Apple scripting and Java and VBS. I have experienced in analysis of viral structures, programming virus. And I love shells commands i.e. command.com, cmd.exe, bash, tcsh, sh, etc. I am among those who think in a shell can do almost everything ??
Please I don´t want requests for how to program viruses, or anything like that, because I will not respond, I think we have enough information on the internet for that, and also that I am not working on that now. It was a stage that I was curious to know how they work and how they are made, so I did, I learned and I left.
At present I work as a Computer Technician. I was studying Systems Engineering, but for economics reasons-in the beginning - I stopped doing so. I tried to resume my studies this year, but only became a cycle, in this case the work was more weight, so I have plans to resume the career again, I hope the next year.
I have diverse interests including, of course, is the Computing. Issues that I always read are networks, operating systems and software security, so that if some day you have access to my browsing history you will see pages like milw0rm.com, securityfocus.com, frsirt.com, etc., etc.?
I also like to experiment with the installation of operating systems, configuration and operation. I have installed from Windows 98 to Windows Vista, I have also installed and successfully used the family of UNIX systems: Solaris, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD. And for excellence: Linux Slackware, Debian, Red Hat, Fedora, Mandrake, and Ubuntu. I also had a chance to use MACOSX, also I got to run MacOSX on an ordinary PC, heheh, how? Yes, you read well: MacOSX on a PC, and not only in the emulator PearPC, but also without emulator? Maybe later I put pictures of what I say?
OUT OF THE MATRIX
Not all are computers, there are moments when I have to disconnect me from the Matrix and return to the real world. In the real world I am a mathematician and scientist who likes to learn almost everything? So, sometimes until you can find me in my home reading books of biology, astronomy, medicine, law and even poetry.
I am a big fan of saying that almost ALL can be learnt by yourself, I am self-taught, and 90% of what I know, I?ve learned it by reading and researching. Google and the people who shared information are my mentors.
I am also fascinated by languages? Yes, I also wanted to learn languages by myself and I did it. I have had contact with the English, German and even Russian .. Going by the Mandarin, heheh, but for the moment not, so the Mandarin you are safe? I think my English is good, at least you can understand, so I also try to put the page in Spanish and English, for those who speak English, I hope you understand me, I learnt english by myself so please don’t blame me.
It is interesting to see how English is now universal, everything is in English, and latest information is in English. So, gentleman ? learn English.
I am a geek, and I think as such? I love life, poetry? Wait, you say poetry?? Yes, I said. I love poems as well.
HUMAN SIDE
I support peace, and I am outraged by the injustice. I am touched by the suffering and pain of human beings, who often do not understand why?
I love life and as such, how they we can live it is determinate for our future. If we live well, the future will give us great rewards, live it wrong and face the consequences? We are not perfect, we are humans. As such, we laugh, wept, and that is part of our existence, how we define our life as happy or unhappy depends on the way we address each situation either favorable or adverse, and as we overcome them.
One of my favorite quotes that have very deep meaning is:
“Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.”
I have a large beautiful family, which I consider a gift of God.
TO THE MOTHERS
Everything that I am, I owe it to my mother. She is the one who has shapped my character and my life, I have been inculcated principles of healthy living, moral and human values. Thanks mom for being as you are. You are unique, I love you so much, mom. You know that always, to the extent of my ability, I will support you in any way I can. I have not been the perfect son, I know that many times I made you shed tears, I ask forgiveness. More in your loving heart you never refused me your love, affection and understanding. Thanks mom!
Our mothers are the best gift of God, seize the time with them while God let us to be with them. And when they are no longer with us, we live our lives not regretting things that did or did not.
